Announcement!

Have you ever wanted something machine embroidered but couldn’t find a company that would do one design?  Or perhaps the regular embroidery companies were priced too high for the one-of-a-kind work you needed done?  Now, with the acquisition of a Husqvarna Viking Diamond sewing and embroidery machine, Linda can provide individualized personal motifs on a small scale.  If you lack labels for your quilts, she has plenty of designs from which you can choose.  If you’d like a small area of your quilt top to have an additional machine embroidery design, she can help you.  Professional embroidery can add a rich texture to your work.  Linda is happy to consult with you…if you’d like more information, contact her (see contact page).

In 2002 Linda wrote her master's thesis on the political and social imagery in nineteenth century Baltimore Album Quilts. Her thesis earned the Dean's Thesis Prize for Social Sciences at the 2002 Harvard University Extension School Commencement. The full thesis is available for downloading:

At the 2002 Harvard University Extension School Commencement ceremony, Linda served as the student speaker. The text of her speech, which compares continuing education to quilting, can be read at the following link: http://www.dce.harvard.edu/pubs/alum/2002/13.html.

As a candidate in the National Quilting Association's judging certification program, Linda was required to compile her credentials for the entire length of her quilting career. The document is available for download:
